Description
Osborn Engineering is seeking a Civil Engineer for our Cleveland office. The successful candidate will have 35 years experience in the planning design development and construction phases of a variety of project types. Civil Engineers report directly to the Manager of Civil Engineering and will work closely with the directors managers and engineering staff to ensure that our clients needs and expectations are exceeded.
Osborn is a fully integrated multidisciplined design firm that uses a specialized team approach to engineering projects. These teams are comprised of a staff of more than 350 professionals that provide designs for all phases of a wide range of projects. Osborn has specialists in civil structural mechanical electrical plumbing fire protection and life safety technology engineering transportation and commissioning. Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review designs and specifications for civil projects.
- Prepare and review construction documents and permit submittals.
- Coordinate with other design disciplines e.g. architects and engineers.
- Document design changes and communications.
- Manage small to medium projects and engineering tasks.
- Assist with the management of project delivery invoicing and financial performance.
- Assist with the development of scope budget and schedule for new projects and tasks.
- Maintain excellent client relations.
- Conduct onsite inspections as needed.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or related field from an EAC/ABET accredited program.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam passed (plus)
- 5 to 10 years of relevant design or construction experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment (plus)
- Excellent technical writing organizational and communications skills
- AutoCAD proficient level
- Microsoft Office Suite Word Excel etc. proficient level
- Civil 3D or Infrastructure Suite proficient level (plus)
- Hydrology/hydraulic software proficient level (plus)
- GIS software including ESRI all levels (plus)
