Emerald Youth Foundation has paid parttime positions available this school year starting as soon as August 4 2025 serving in their afterschool are available through the AmeriCorps program and a great opportunity to make a big difference in your life and in the lives of city young people in Knoxville. It is not employment but national service and if you have a practicum or internship to fulfill for school it can count towards that.
BENEFITS:
- GET PAID UP TO $9450 (called a living allowance) and serve 1520 hours afterschool each week.

There are 3 kinds of AmeriCorps positions available afterschool with Emerald Youth this year and position options range from semester only to the full school year. Ideal availability are between the hours of 2:00 and 6:00 p.m. Monday Friday:
- General Afterschool Role Lead varying structured learning and enrichment activities afterschool with elementary or middle school students.
- Learning Role Perfect for aspiring teachers and/or to fulfill a teaching practicum. Facilitate components of and implement incentives for elementary and middle school students as part of the onsite computer learning lab.
- RecSports Role Perfect for those interested in sports health and fitness. Plan and implement structured health and recreational activities for both elementary and middle school students.
