Position Overview and Qualifications:
Canisius University invites applications for a fulltime oneyear Visiting Assistant Professor teaching position in its Animal Behavior Ecology and Conservation and Anthrozoology Department beginning August 15 2025.The ideal candidate will teach within both our graduate and undergraduate programs in Anthrozoology as well as our undergraduate program in Animal Behavior Ecology and Conservation. We particularly encourage candidates with a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and mentoring. Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent degree; ABD will be considered.Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Range: $50000 $55000 annually
*Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate of the base pay for this position. The selected candidates actual base pay will be based on jobrelated nondiscriminatory factors including about the total compensation package for this position will be provided during the interview process.
Benefits are available the first of the month after the fulltime facultys date of hire and include health dental and vision insurance life and longterm disability insurance and retirement plan enrollment is available to fulltime faculty with contribution from the university after one year. Tuition benefits are also available for fulltime faculty and their qualified dependents.
