We are looking for:Nursing and ICUVeterinaryTechnician
Proposed schedule: WedsFriday 7pm7am
Never a dull moment in the Nursing department! Our patients need constant supervision to ensure treatment plans are being executed. This department is perfect forsomeone who canidentifypatientdistress and react accordingly enjoysphlebotomy placing IV cathetersassistingwith recovery and client follow up and education.

Whatyoulldo:
  • Record and deliver organized rounds discusscasesand gatheradditionalinformation as necessary
  • Evaluating incoming patients and prioritizing based on assessment
  • Partner with patient care teamregardingtreatment plans client communication and nursing care concerns
  • Provideclient education including but not limitedto:home care instructions medications (indications adverse reactions) and general wellness updates on hospitalized patients
  • Assist DVM with patient assessmenttreatmentand procedures
  • Providemonitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Induce andmonitorgeneral anesthesia and sedation procedures
  • Perform inhouse laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing
Who you are:
  • State Registered Veterinary Technician licensepreferred
  • Prior veterinary experience required previousnursing or critical careexperience desired
  • Proficient in calculations constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.
  • Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
