Bistro Server
Summary of Position: Responsible for serving food and/or beverages in a timely friendly and efficient manner in the companys continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately take orders from guests submit to kitchen using POS software deliver food and drinks bus tables or assist busser /runner
- Knowledge of restaurant and bar menu promotions and specials
- In an honest and timely manner prepare checks process credit cards accept and make accurate change for cash payments
- Obtain ServSafe Certification in accordance with Company F&B policy
- Ensure alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages are served in accordance with Federal State Local regulations and Company procedures
- Provide timely courteous service to all guests throughout the meal service
- Set tables polish glasses prepare workstations and other side work as assigned
- Accurately prepare sales and tip reports at shifts end deposit cash and credit card receipts
- Understand Company ISO (Environmental & Quality) management systems Health and Safety standards policies goals and initiatives and meet the specific responsibilities within these areas
- Complete other front of house duties such as host and busser /runner as needed to meet business requirements
- Other duties per Duties Checklist and as requested
Position Requirements:
- Excellent customer service and people skills
- Must be able to work a variety of day night weekend holiday shifts
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to count change and reconcile paperwork
- Majority of shift will be spent on feet in a fastpaced environment in close proximity to other people
Knowledge and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum 1 year in a restaurant establishment
