Job Description
Scott Engineering Inc. is looking for a skilled Manufacturing Painter who will under moderate supervision operate electrostatic/conventional spray guns to paint metal cabinets and interior fixtures clean and maintain spray booth and paint equipment and assist other departments as needed.
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
- Apply coating/paint with electric static airless spray guns
- Maintain painting equipment which includes making minor repairs and ensuring proper supplies are on hand to complete assigned tasks
- Work effectively as a member of a team while continuously striving to improve and develop individual skills and knowledge
- Apply epoxy and polyurethane coatings in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of surface preparation mixing 2 and 3 component coatings application equipment and application of performance coatings on steel components
- Operate various pieces of equipment such as Forklifts spray guns and other specialty equipment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Meet or exceed deadlines and schedules
- Comply with all safety rules and guidelines
- Education:High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Experience:One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Manufacturing experience a plus
