Job Description
Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our Medical/Surgical Department. As a PCT you will provide direct patient care and support nursing staff in delivering highquality care to our patients. This role is ideal for compassionate individuals who thrive in a fastpaced hospital environment and are committed to patient wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing dressing feeding and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs intake/output and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide basic wound care and assist with medical procedures as directed.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety by responding to call lights and patient needs promptly.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized patient environment.
- Transport patients and specimens within the hospital as needed.
- Collaborate with nurses and healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required or obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Previous hospital or clinical experience preferred.
- Strong communication teamwork and patient service skills.
