Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Performs routine Laboratory testing.
- Obtains and prepares patient specimens.
- Performs diagnostic Laboratory tests and procedures on body fluids and other specimens using both manual and automated methods of analysis.
- Reviews assesses and interprets test results.
- Accurately reports results along with relevant information pertaining to the prevention diagnosis or treatment of disease.
- Assesses all preanalytical analytical and postanalytical variables of the testing process to assure the accuracy of the results reported.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology Life Science or equivalent
- Current registration or eligible for registration as a Medical Technologist (ASCP) or equivalent.
- Goo organization problemsolving communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to evaluate test results and recognize abnormal or contradictory results.
- Ability to concentrate on fine detail with frequent interruptions.
