About the Team
The Voice Architecture team at OpenAI is dedicated to pioneering new architectures and paradigms for nextgeneration large language models that integrate advanced speech and audio capabilities. Our work lies at the intersection of audio processing natural language understanding and realtime interaction. We focus on building seamless multimodal systems that can handle speech input and output operate efficiently at scale and excel in complex realworld settings. This team also works on related cuttingedge research in areas like audiovisual video understanding source separation speech translation alignment and diarization. Ultimately our team aims to redefine how users engage with AI through natural contextrich and fully immersive speech experiences.
About the Role
As a Research Manager on the Voice Architecture team you will lead the design and development of novel multimodal audio architectures ensuring that our models and systems push the boundaries of audiolanguage integration. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers across multiple disciplinesranging from machine learning and distributed systems to humancomputer interactiondriving forward the vision of fluid realtime and humancentered speech interfaces. Your leadership will be instrumental in enabling faster iteration cycles guiding foundational research and delivering groundbreaking capabilities for realworld largescale deployments. The systems you will help build will push the boundaries beyond what is possible with todays technology.
