Job Title: Therapist
Position Overview
Desert Winds Recovery is looking for Mental Health Therapists to join our team! Mental
Health Therapists provide assessment diagnosis and treatment of individuals and
groups with mental health substance use and emotional/behavioral issues.
Responsibilities:
Utilize knowledge of DSM5TR to interpret client diagnosis and translate client data
to develop a plan of care
Utilize EMR to review client record and document client interaction/treatment
interventions
Conduct individual psychotherapy using EMDR and incorporating other
psychotherapeutic methods where appropriate.
Interact and communicate effectively with all team members in order to provide
effective and compassionate patient care
Required education:
Masters Degree in Psychology Social Work Marriage and Family Therapy
Counseling or
related field from an accredited college or university
Required license or certification:
Licensed in the State of Nevada for: LCSW LMFT LCPC LCADC or CPCIntern
CSWIntern LMSW (Intern Eligible) MFTIntern
Two years of postEMDR training experience utilizing EMDR methods required.
EMDR certification preferred
Language Skills:
Ability to read analyze and interpret human service periodicals professional journals
technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business
correspondence and analyze policies and procedures. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and
the general public.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems collect data establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of
Electronic Health Records; Internet software; Payroll systems;
Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Must have reasonable ability to do the following:
Stand walk and sit during assigned shift hours
Have the ability to use hands and/or arms to handle feel reach and manually handle
patient belongings
Reach climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl
Speak and have access to the special senses within normal limits (hear taste smell
etc. as it applies to patient care
Ability to drive a passenger van
Employee may be required to be exposed to outside elements for prolonged periods
of time
Must be capable of regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds frequently lifting
and/or moving up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds
