Job Description

A day as an Occupational Therapist can involve:

  • Assessing clients for nonvocational issues including but not limited to risk of homelessness financial issues family breakdown social issues and other nonvocational barriers to employment
  • Creating support plan in conjunction with job seekers and participants. Refer job seekers and participants to Providers and make arrangements including appointment times dates and contacts. Follow up and remind clients and where appropriate attend with client to Healthfind appointments
  • Linking clients with most appropriate community services in their local area and provide feedback to employment consultants
  • Researching and networking with community providers to maintain and add to the suite of Healthfind services available to Jobfind job seekers and participants
  • Attending meetings steering committees and other functions as required to maintain networks with community partners
  • Regular liaison with job seeker and participant Employment Consultants on progress in overcoming barriers
  • Arranging in conjunction with Site Managers for community service partners to attend site meetings to discuss services directly with employment services employees
  • Providing information to assist in the process of ESAts

Supporting our clients across our Melbourne Camberwell Richmond Craigieburn Broadmeadows Fitzroy and Coburg.

Key Selection Requirements:

  • A formal qualification minimum bachelors degree in the Allied Health (e.g. Social Worker Community Welfare Counselling/Rehabilitation Councillor)

To be considered you must

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current drivers licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm
