The Opportunity

Mawer Investment Management is currently looking for an exceptional and experienced Individual Client Management Analyst to join our Calgary team and continue to build on our successes in investment counselling with private clients in Canada. Working closely with our team of Investment Counsellors the Individual Client Management Analyst is a crucial team player with excellent attention to detail and dedicated to ensuring that our team can deliver on our commitments to our clients. Reporting to the Senior Manager Individual Client Management this role is a crucial team player with excellent attention to detail and dedicated to ensuring that our team can deliver on our commitments to our clients.

Role Responsibilities

As an Individual Client Management Analyst your responsibilities will include assisting Investment Counsellors with:

  • Executing processing and reconciling trading and other investment related transactions
  • The creation and development of financial plans
  • Creating consolidated reporting or other strategic plans (A to O analysis donation/gifting strategy tax strategy)
  • Analysis trade support and nonstandard reporting
  • Preparing for and attending client meetings
  • Troubleshooting and resolving complex internal and external queries
  • Helping to improve and streamline the client service model and operational procedures

Desired Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree in a Finance Accounting or Business Administration discipline is preferred
  • 3 years of investment industry experience
  • Completion of or progress towards industryrelated courses (such as the CFA Program) would be considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal written and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Proven analytical proactive problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Able to multitask and prioritize; experience managing expectations and delivery of services
  • Ability to present candid feedback and suggestions to improve processes
  • Performs well under pressure
  • Works well in a team environment
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a strong willingness to learn
  • Good financial industry knowledge and product understanding
  • Strong work ethic and a demonstrated track record of excellence and commitment to achieve meaningful results
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite including Word Excel PowerPoint Teams and Outlook.
