Job Description

Combating Trafficking in Persons & Child Labor

Team:Human Rights Education & Empowerment

Winrock International is searching for a New Business Consultant to work with the Human Rights Education & Empowerment (HREE) division to provide essential surge capacity and undertake a host of new business tasks focused on combating trafficking in persons and technical adjacencies.

The period of the consultancy shall be for 20 hours a week for a period of ten weeks beginning as soon as possible. The consultant will report to the Associate Vice President of Human Rights Education & Empowerment and work in close collaboration with the wider leadership of the division and the New Business team.

Expected Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with leadership to document HREEs theory of change and value offerings.
  • Source and vet solicitations released by a variety of federal international and nonfederal donors for prioritization by HREE leadership.
  • Conduct a focused assessment to identify and prioritize companies and foundations that fund work similar or related to countering trafficking in persons unsafe migration and child labor.
  • Lead development of and initiate a corporate and foundation engagement strategy for HREEs work.
  • Create a range of positioning and marketing materials for foundation and private sector funders including a pitch deck and documentation of service offerings

Education:

  • MA in Business international development or other relevant field required.

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years experience in new business development particularly with foundation and corporate funders.
  • Demonstrated experience in international development.
  • Experience with new business in international democracy and governance sector or human rights programs highly desirable.
  • Track record identifying and developing nonfederal sources of funding including corporations foundations and international donors.
  • Fluency in English and excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience working in developing countries .

Duration: 20 hours a week for a period of ten weeks beginning as soon as possible.
