Job Description
Edwards Inc. is a fullservice industrial general contractor providing construction fabrication and crane services. We operate one of the largest fleets of road ready hydraulic cranes in North Carolina Virginia and South Carolina. We are currently seeking a Heavy Equipment/Crane Diesel Mechanic in the Wilmington NC area.
Physical requirements include but are not limited to:
- Continually walk/stand on surfaces which may be even/uneven stable/unstable and varying compositions.
- Work in awkward spaces and/or positions including confined spaces and climbing.
- The ability to routinely lift up to 80 lbs. and push up to 60 lbs.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination depth perception and peripheral vision.
Requirements
- 2 years experience in servicing diagnosing and repairing diesel engines.
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Drivers License
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to safety
Additional Skills
- Clean Driving Record
- Hydraulic and Electrical systems background is a plus.
- Mechanical experience with cranes is a plus.
- Own all tools needed to work with
- Bilingual Skills (English/Spanish) is a plus

Working conditions may be indoor or outdoor. Schedule may include overtime overnight and weekend work. Preemployment investigations and evaluations may include drug physical functionality criminal background MVR and/or skills evaluations. Pay commensurate with experience/knowledge.
