Your Role
As a Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher you will:

• Teach inspiring Design and Technology (Textiles) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 helping students to develop both technical and creative skills

• Deliver a curriculum focused on textiles techniques such as pattern making sewing fabric manipulation and design processes

• Create a positive and dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to explore their creativity and develop their ideas from concept to finished product

• Work closely with a dedicated department team to plan and deliver a broad engaging curriculum

• Provide constructive feedback and assessments to help students make progress and feel proud of their achievements

• Contribute to extracurricular activities such as design exhibitions fashion shows and creative school events

• Foster a classroom culture that values experimentation creativity and independent thinking

What Were Looking For
We are looking for an enthusiastic Design and Technology (Textiles) Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or will have QTS by September 2025

• Has a degree in Design and Technology Fashion/Textiles or a related field with a strong understanding of textiles techniques and design

• Is passionate about teaching Design and Technology (Textiles) and committed to inspiring students at all levels

• Demonstrates excellent communication organisational and classroom management skills

• Is motivated to continue developing professionally with a strong commitment to growth whether you are an ECT or an experienced teacher
