Job Description
We are seeking a Registered Nurse Operating Room for 26week travel/contract assignment in Watertown NY 13601.
Job Details:
- Shift: 12hour Nights 7p7a
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2268 $2448
Responsibilities:
- Function as a circulating nurse during surgeries across multiple specialties including Orthopedics General Surgery Robotics ENT GYN Urology Podiatry and Neuro
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes
- Monitor and document patient care before during and after surgical procedures
- Respond to emergencies quickly and appropriately
- Maintain a sterile and aseptic environment
- Ensure proper operation and care of surgical instruments and equipment
- May be required to assume duties as a charge nurse when needed
- Provide leadership guidance and mentorship to new or less experienced staff
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Licensure: Current New York State RN license or eligibility required
- Certifications: BLS (required or must be obtained within 3 months of hire). ACLS (preferred)
Experience:
- Previous OR experience.
- Minimum one year medical/surgical nursing experience.
- Preceptorship charge and leadership abilities preferred for experienced RNs
Travel & Local Considerations:
- Candidates outside a 60mile radius qualify for travel pay.
