Responsibilities:
- Maintain a neat/tidy appearance in all areas of the department returning equipment/ supplies to designated areas
- Regularly sanitize exercise equipment mats and assistive devices according to hospital safety and infection control standards.
- Evaluate and distribute linen supplies changing linens on treatment tables according to procedures
- Maintain medical supplies in all treatment areas
- Sustain organization in the closets regularly
- Sweep soiled utility and equipment rooms at least twice weekly for therapy equipment
- Assist in department communication processesanswer telephones transit messages from nursing service to the therapist communicate between therapists etc.
- Assist the therapist with delivery setup and cleanup of the treatment area (i.e. patient room rehab gym splint set up) for patient care delivery
Patient Care:
- Assist in and perform patient transfers and lifts using proper body mechanics according to standard techniques.
- Assist the therapist in evaluations/treatments at the bedside and the rehabilitation gym (i.e. exercises mat activities orthosis fabrication modality preparation).
- Report treatment activities patient progress and any unusual response to treatment or incident to the therapist.
We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function and level. Final offer/contract amounts are determined by multiple factors including skillset work experience and languages and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The pay range for this position is: $18 $19/hr
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service and telephone skills
- Good Computer skills with MS Office (MS Excel and Word)
- *** Must be Bilingual in Spanish***
- Experience as a Physical Therapy Aide in Outpatient settings is preferred but not required
