Job Description
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Monitor and record patients vital signs and report any significant changes.
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as grooming feeding and mobility.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation.
- Help in preparing patients for examinations or procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient care areas.
- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.
- Participate in patient education and provide emotional support.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members for comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in the management of medical supplies and equipment.
- Document patient care activities in electronic health records.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with patients and families.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Attend staff meetings training sessions and continuing education opportunities.
- Perform minor administrative tasks as required including scheduling and billing support.
- Completed GNM (General Nursing & Midwifery) program from a recognized institution.
- Current nursing license in accordance with state regulations.
- Basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work varying shifts including nights and weekends.
- Proficient in using healthcare technology and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients.
- Strong observational and assessment skills.
- Ability to function effectively as part of a healthcare team.
- Physical stamina to assist patients and perform nursing duties.
- A commitment to professional growth and development in nursing.
- Respect for patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
