The Senior Lawyer performs the following duties and responsibilities:
- represents the interests of the University in the courts of any instance by Power of Attorney;
- develops participates in the preparation and development of draft regulatory legal acts the development of which is entrusted to the University or carried out with its participation including in the development of draft legislative acts on the activities of the University;
- interacts with central and local state bodies other bodies and organizations on legal issues related to the activities of the University;
- conducts legal expertise in accordance with the established procedure approves documents in accordance with the established procedure (draft decisions administrative documents internal regulatory documents contracts outgoing documents etc. draft regulatory legal acts submitted to the Division from structural divisions other documents of the University submitted to the Division for approval on behalf of the line manager and/or University management;
- analyzes materials for meetings of the Supreme Board of Trustees the University Board of Trustees the Managing Council meetings with the participation of the University management in order to make proposals reflecting the protection of the interests of the University in accordance with the competence of the Division on the issues under consideration;
- provides legal support for the work on interaction of the University with state bodies within the framework of their control and supervisory functions on issues related to the activities of the University;
- develops documents (draft decisions administrative documents internal regulatory documents contracts outgoing documents etc. within the competence of the Division;
- performs the duties (replaces) of the Director of the Division during his/her temporary absence (up to one month) in accordance with the procedure established by labor legislation and internal regulatory documents of the University;
- participates in discussions make suggestions within the competence of the Division according to the Regulations on the Legal Department as part of working groups commissions in negotiations meetings on the activities of the University;
- conducts work on identification assessment management monitoring of risks within the supervised direction;
- executes other tasks on behalf of the Director of the Division and the Universitys management;
- is responsible for ensuring the integrity of official documents and prevention of the disclosure or leakage of confidential and business information as well as information of restricted access in accordance with the legislation Charter and internal regulatory documents of the University;
- in case of dismissal is responsible for timely transfer of all paper documentation digital information inventory to another employee as instructed by the Director of the Division (to be certified by the act of acceptancetransfer).
Qualifications :
Education
Higherprofessional preferable from the higher education institutions with English language of instruction.
Bachelors degree in Law
Work experience
Work experience for the candidates with Masters degree must be no less than 3 years in the specialty in areas corresponding to the functional areas of the specified position (preferably in international foreign and/or national companies).
In the absence of a masters degree work experience minimum 5 years in the specialty in areas corresponding to the functional areas of the specified position (preferably in international foreign and/or national companies).
Knowledge
knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on issues related to the activities of the University;
knowledge of Kazakh Russian English (good oral and writing skills) languages.
