Systems Engineer

Are you passionate about building complex systems that drive mission success NS2 Mission is seeking a talented and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team in Chantilly VA where youll help translate critical requirements into innovative solutions that support both government and enterprise missions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing analyzing and implementing complex systems and solutions that align with technical schedule and cost constraints. You will collaborate across multifunctional teams engage in strategic planning and support both hardware and software development lifecycles.

Required Qualifications:

• Perform functional timeline and cost analyses trade studies and requirements allocation.
• Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
• Conduct strategic systems and business information planning and analysis.
• Analyze complex system requirements and business applications.
• Design specifications for functional activities and develop block diagrams and logic flow charts.
• Apply process improvement techniques to support reengineering and modernization efforts.
• Utilize data modeling transaction flow analysis risk analysis and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with customers team members developers and service providers to identify and refine system requirements.
• Design and implement software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analyses.
• Develop and maintain diverse network environments including cloud infrastructure.
• Apply computational techniques to solve technical challenges.
• Ensure logical and systematic conversion of requirements into total system solutions.
• Estimate software development costs and timelines.
• Review and refine existing systems to improve performance and efficiency.
• Expand or adapt systems to meet evolving business needs.
• Prepare and maintain detailed documentation (programlevel and userlevel).
• Provide enduser support and resolve technical issues. Lead and direct programmers to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Offer technical guidance on software engineering methodologies and tools.
• Test debug and refine software products to meet quality and functionality standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Systems Engineering or a related field.
• 15 years of relevant experience in systems engineering or software development.
• Proven experience with business process modeling systems analysis and software architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and networking concepts.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience using formal development methodologies and modeling tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in a relevant technical discipline.
• Experience working in secure or government environments. Certification in systems engineering (e.g. INCOSE CSEP) or software development.
