Job Description
We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Herefordshire to assist with the appointment of a Childrens Social Worker on a 3month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: 23.08 30.80 per hour
Summary:
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Social Workers to join our dynamic Assessment Team in South Herefordshire. This is a vital role within our Childrens Services Directorate offering the opportunity to make a direct and positive impact on the lives of children and families. As part of our ongoing Restorative Journey of Improvement you will be instrumental in helping shape a better future for young people across the county.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct timely and childfocused assessments of children and families following referrals.
- Investigate and evaluate risks and concerns ensuring appropriate action and support is initiated.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.
- Manage a diverse and complex caseload maintaining accurate and thorough records.
- Produce highquality written reports for court and other professional audiences.
Qualifications:
- Recognised social work qualification (DipSW CQSW CSS or equivalent).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Minimum of 3 years postqualifying experience in statutory childrens social care.
Please note:
- You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an Enhanced DBS
