Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Social Worker on a 1month contract likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 18.66 25.51 per hour

Summary:

The Social Worker (Band B) is responsible for assessing complex individual needs and initiating a range of interventions to meet those needs in alignment with strengthbased rightsbased and personcentered social work practices. The role requires autonomous decisionmaking interdisciplinary collaboration and safeguarding responsibilities while promoting independence choice and control for service users.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a complex caseload including assessment planning and reviewing support for individuals with diverse needs.
  • Undertake assessments using various tools including those required for continuing healthcare.
  • Identify and facilitate access to Reablement and preventative services.
  • Promote independence and delay the need for longterm care through a StrengthBased Approach.
  • Liaise with service providers community resources and support networks to deliver optimal outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • A Social Work qualification recognised by the Health and Care Profession Council (HCPC).
  • Registered with Social Work England or equivalent body and evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Additional qualifications or training relevant to the service area for example British Sign Language blind / deaf qualification.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years postqualification experience in handling complex social work cases.
  • Experience in team collaboration and mentoring.
  • Skilled in risk assessment safeguarding investigations and case documentation.
  • Experience in negotiating with stakeholders to meet individual needs.
  • Familiarity with IT systems and reporting tools.
  • Experience as a Safeguarding Enquiry Officer.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
