Position Details:
PRN (as needed) no guarantee of hours day shift Nonexempt Hourly Nonbenefited position.
The Laundry Aide follows Safety and Infection Prevention best practices to ensure adequate supplies of clean and sanitary linen are provided to specified patient care areas in the appropriate quantities and in a timely manner. Safely transports clean and soiled linens sorts and processes linens operates a variety of equipment to include commercialsized washing machines dryers folding and transfer containers and carts and ensures their work area and linen storage areas are cleaned and disinfected all according to department and Lake Health District policy and procedure.
Requirements
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Valid Oregon Driver License or ability to obtain.
Experience:
One years laundry experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required. Onthejob training will be provided.
Job Knowledge & Skills:
Capable of performing duties as assigned. Ability to learn safety regulations and infection prevention policies/procedures relative to processing laundry within the probationary period.
