DevOps Engineer

Job Expectations:

• Work Schedule: Mondays Fridays; Day/Mid Shift
• Base Salary: Php 80000 Php 100000

As a DevOps Engineer you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing our software development lifecycle. Your focus will be on building and optimizing our DevOps pipelines automating infrastructure and ensuring the reliable and efficient deployment of software on the cloud (AWS). You will work collaboratively with other engineers to drive improvements and implement best practices focusing on performance and costefficiency.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years in IT with at least 2 years of experience in a DevOps or related engineering role.
• Handson experience with infrastructure automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation and CDK (TypeScript).
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Bitbucket Pipelines AWS CodePipeline Jenkins or similar.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker (Kubernetes experience is a plus).
• Proficient in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong foundation in system administration concepts including networking storage and security.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot technical issues across both infrastructure and application layers.
• Strong collaboration skills capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• Familiarity with AWS and opensource monitoring and logging tools like AWS CloudWatch and Glowroot APM; knowledge of Prometheus or Grafana is a plus.

AWS Expertise

• Practical experience and handson expertise with managing and deploying AWS services including:
• Compute & Containers: EC2 Lambda Elastic Beanstalk ECS
• Storage & Database: S3 DynamoDB DocumentDB RDS (Aurora MySQL)
• Networking & Security: VPC IAM API Gateway CloudFront WAF
• Monitoring: CloudWatch
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation and AWS CDK (TypeScript).
• Basic knowledge of cost optimization performance tuning strategies security best practices and monitoring on AWS with a willingness to develop further expertise.
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development teams to implement and improve DevOps tools processes and workflows focusing on scalability and performance.
• Develop maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable seamless software delivery.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning ensuring efficient repeatable and reliable deployments.
• Manage configuration for both infrastructure and application settings automating and streamlining configuration updates ensuring consistency across environments and enforcing best practices for security and performance.
• Manage cloud infrastructure ensuring efficient operation cost control and service availability while maintaining performance and implementing security best practices including Web Application Firewall (WAF) configurations.
• Establish and configure monitoring systems and logging solutions to ensure optimal performance and reliability enabling IT operations developers and support teams to proactively identify and address potential bottlenecks or issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructurerelated issues in both development and production environments.
• Implement security best practices throughout the DevOps pipeline ensuring compliance and safeguarding resources.
• Stay informed about the latest DevOps technologies and trends sharing insights and knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement.
