Thermacell currently employs 125 full time employees at our 3 locations: Bedford Massachusetts (Corporate HQ) Buford Georgia (Manufacturing & Distribution) and Hampton Florida (Science & Research Center).


ROLE PURPOSE:

Thermacell is currently seeking a highly capable 1st Shift Production Supervisor with manufacturing and maintenance experience. This person in this role will be responsible for supervising and operating production equipment documenting production information and performing routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Please note that this role is a working supervisor position. This role will report to the Plant Manager.


STATUS: Exempt

WORKING HOURS: Typically between 7am3:30pm MF (extended hours as needed during busy season).

WORK LOCATION: 4630 Distribution Parkway Buford Ga 30519

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee departmental daytoday production activities.
  • Ensure product is safely produced on time within budgeted costs and meet product specifications.
  • Develop standard operating procedures and train production associates in process job skills and safety.
  • Ensure that health and safety regulations are always adhered to.
  • Responsible for maintaining product quality assurance.
  • Actively participate and represent the manufacturing team on the Safety Committee.
  • Ensure production staff are following internal polices and industry regulations.
  • Set and communicate expectations to production staff as well as evaluate their performance via performance review and coaching sessions.
  • Assist in hiring training and coaching staff. Responsible for training of new Manufacturing Technicians and Line Operators.
  • Establish assign and prioritize workflow staffing and schedules.
  • Manage special projects outside of normal daily production process.
  • Ensure production release packages and production confirmations are completed accurately and timely.
  • Confirm correct materials and appropriate quantities are used reported and document any discrepancies.
  • Drives continuous improvement utilizing improvement methodologies such as Center lining Zero Effort Changeovers Focused Improvement Process Improvement mapping etc.
  • Assists in repair and maintenance of production and ensure daily equipment CILs are completed.
  • Troubleshoot any equipment issues that arise and provide technical support to resolve stoppages or failures.
  • Leads daily production review and communicates out to operations management.
  • Implement department strategies to improve cost quality and performance.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to optimize staffing and productivity.
  • Responsible for securing the facility at end of shift
  • Other duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION

Compensation for this position will include a competitive base salary and an Annual Target Bonus programdetails proved separately. Benefits for this position will consist of vacation benefits at a competitive level along with 9 paid holidays 2 Floating Holidays and a day off for your Birthday! Additionally a company shutdown period is offered for one week between Christmas and New Years Day.

You may start contributing to our 401k after completing 30 days of service (enrolling on the first of the following month). You will be eligible for the employer match up to 4 (base salary overtime wages subject to the IRS (Internal Revenue Service) legal limit) after completing one year of service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma with some level of college course work is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of manufacturing experience operating equipment driving forklifts.
  • 23 years experience as a manufacturing or production lead or supervisor dealing with people management or line leadership area.
