Job Description
Hawaiian Building Maintenance has been providing quality service since 1957. We are one of the largest facility service providers in the State of Hawaii. We currently perform Janitorial Building Services Mechanical Engineering HVAC and Maintenance Services for numerous commercial retail and residential properties on Oahu Kauai Maui and Big Island. We are a major facility service company with excellent benefits including 401k plan with employer match vacation and competitive wages.
We are looking for a fulltimeMaintenance Tech position to repair and maintain residential and commercial building in Downtown Oahu. Candidates must have a valid driver license reliable vehicle previous handson maintenance experience light plumbing electrical HVAC carpentry and painting experience is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs (painting plumbing electrical mechanical and heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) and grounds maintenance)
- Able to access a small space of 18 inch x 18 inch
- Excellent customer service skills to interact with property managers vendors customers etc.
- Able to lift push pull a minimum of 30lbs up to 50lbs. Walk stand for a period of time and bend throughout the shift.
- Ensure mechanical equipment and systems are working in order and fixed as necessary.
- Create and maintain work orders
- Create and maintain purchase orders
- Perform any additional maintenance related duties as required by property management.
Skills/Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED
- Must have a valid driver license and a reliable vehicle
- Customer service oriented
- General Maintenance experience
- Basic mathematics
- Previous experience with creating and maintaining work orders and purchase orders
- Attention to detail
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Troubleshooting abilities
- Strong organizational skills
- Willingness to learn and improve
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am5pm 40 hours a week)
Compensation range:$23 to $25/per hour
