Job Description

Headways mission is a big one to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. Weve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first softwareenabled national network of providers accepting insurance.

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition but the majority of providers dont accept insurance making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.

Headway was founded in 2019. Since then weve grown into a diverse national network of over 45000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. About IT at Headway

Building a new mental healthcare system at Headway is only possible because of the scale and leverage that software can provide. The IT team at Headway is a small but mighty team using technology to build that future.

About the role

In this role youll have the unique opportunity to be the builder and driver of our dedicated inhouse IT Engineering efforts. You will execute projects both technically and organizationally to tackle challenges as the company doubles in size over the next year or two.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and ensure optimal function of essential business applications such as Google Workspace Jira/Atlassian suite and Slack.
  • Manage application security through routine audits and enforce best practices for access control.
  • Develop and uphold procedures for employee lifecycle management especially onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain documentation for all core applications and processes.
  • Address and resolve applicationrelated incidents and service requests.
  • Work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams to enhance application configurations and workflows.

You may be a good fit if you:

  • Have 5 years experience working in a SaaSbased IT environment
  • Possess subject matter expertise in workflows and integrations leveraging APIs to automate processes and reduce redundancy
  • Have familiarity with strict compliance regulations like HIPAA
  • Are a hunter/gatherer skilled at working with stakeholders to collect synthesize and present solutions that meet business needs and drive efficiency across workflows
  • Value project management and plan work visibly and methodically
  • Are a team player and welcome feedback with a growth mindset
  • Stay uptodate on the latest security and privacy best practices and requirements

Our interview process

  • Initial screen: Youll connect with someone in recruiting so you can learn more about the team Headways mission and exciting growth and we can get a better idea of your background.
  • First round: Youll meet with the IT Manager to discuss your previous experience and do an initial technical screen.
  • Final rounds: Youll meet several team members for technical and nontechnical interviews and leave with a fuller picture of what its like to work at Headway.

The expected base pay range for this position is $152150 $179000 based on a variety of factors including qualifications experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary this role may be eligible for performancebased variable compensation and an equity grant depending on the position and level.
