How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW
The Production Scheduler plays a pivotal role in orchestrating and overseeing production schedules with the overarching goal of maximizing resource utilization meeting customer demands and minimizing downtime. This role demands a deep understanding of manufacturing processes encompassing everything from raw material procurement and inventory management to production line scheduling and finished goods delivery. Furthermore the Production Scheduler must be adept at leveraging SAPs suite of tools and functionalities to improve efficiency and accuracy in all aspects of production planning and .as production output cycle time and ontime delivery to identify areas for improvement.
Production Scheduling:
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on sales forecasts customer orders and material availability.
Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate changes in demand production capacity and material availability.
Coordinate with production planning quality project engineering to ensure timely and efficient production flow.
Identify and resolve potential scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks.
Optimize production sequences to minimize changeover times and maximize throughput.
SAP Expertise:
Proficiently utilize SAP to create and manage production orders schedules and resource planning.
Generate and analyze SAP reports to track production performance material usage and inventory levels.
Develop and implement SAPbased scheduling solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
WorkInProgress (WIP) Inventory Management:
Monitor WIP inventory levels and ensure adequate material availability for production.
Coordinate with planning and purchasing teams to manage material procurement and delivery schedules.
Analyze inventory data and identify opportunities for inventory reduction and optimization.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Track and report on key production metrics such as ontime delivery production efficiency and schedule adherence.
Identify and analyze production variances and implement corrective actions.
Prepare and present regular reports to management on production performance and scheduling effectiveness.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Industrial Engineering or a related field preferred or equivalent experience based on past positions.
Minimum 5 years of experience in production scheduling/planning within a manufacturing environment.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
Strong analytical problemsolving critical thinking and decisionmaking skills.
Extensive experience with SAP and proficiency in Google Suite applications.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes production planning principles and supply chain. Ability to read and interpret production schedules and bills of materials (BOMs).
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
The annual base salary range for this position in California is $78000 $95000.
