Job Description

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is currently seeking a Barback to join our team at our beautiful oceanfront restaurant!

Schedule: Seasonal PT Must be able to work weekends and Holidays! Shift may vary from 6am10pm

Pay: $17.25

SUMMARY

A Barback is responsible for assisting Bartenders to ensure they have everything they need to serve customers efficiently. Their duties include replacing kegs restocking glasses and other supplies needed to make drinks and maintaining a clean dining space throughout their shift. Promotes and follows LJBTC Inc.s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Keep the bar stocked with liquors syrups napkins and all other necessary items before and during service hours.
  • Prepare garnishes refill ice wells change kegs and wash/restock glassware.
  • Keep the bar area/refrigerators clean and organized.
  • Keeping the backbar storage organized and clean. Putting away the requisition.
  • Assisting in the lounge bussing and table maintenance.
  • Assisting with quarterly inventory
  • Physically fit lifting up to 50lbs standing bending and reaching.
  • At least 21 years old
  • Willing to work nights weekends & holidays.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively in English to customers guests visitors members or employees of organization.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to apply common sense to unexpected situations.


CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

Must have and maintain current Food Handlers Card and be RBS license.
