Job Description
Turner Industries Group is looking for Maintenance Mechanic for FullTime Maintenance work in Alpharetta GA.
- Must be able to pass preemployment drug screen
- Duties include installing water lines air lines repairing oil heaters installing plumbing fixtures building/process maintenance
- 40 Hours Overtime as needed
- Benefits include: Medical/Dental/401K/ Vacation & Holiday
NO per diem or relocation available for this position; the successful candidate will be a current resident in/near the area.
General Job Description:
Assembles sets up adjusts lubricates maintains and repairs all types of construction equipment.
Functional Requirements:
Interprets blueprints sketches written and/or verbal orders; assigns duties lines up and follows up all work and is responsible for production of the unit; inspects work to ensure adherence to company standards; trains and assists workers in performance of their duties; supervises and coordinates activities of assigned construction workers; interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations; analyzes and resolves work related problems; implements safety programs; ensures job site materials and equipment are in good condition; may maintain time production and other records; may study schedules and estimate workerhour requirements for completion of job.
Qualification Standards:
Minimum four 4 years of experience in specified skill
Written preemployment qualification test
Postoffer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Hazard Communication orientation/test
Turner Industries Group LLC indoctrination
OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87
Job site orientation
Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven long sleeves steel toe boots etc.
Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat safety glasses gloves respirator hearing protection safety harness with lanyard etc.
Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the work place
Tools/Equipment:
Employee may be required to provide the following: tool box wrenches pliers screwdrivers pry bar cold chisel battery terminal cleaner ring groove cleaner brass driver flashlight feeler gauges spark plug gap gauge timing light vacuum gauge hacksaw ball pein hammer magnet center punch piston ring compressor and spreader sper tin snips tape tappet adjusting tool tubing benders tubing flaring and cutting kit universal clutch aligning set valve lifter rain suit.
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders scaffolds structures etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders scaffolds structures etc.; reaching in all directions handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.
Mental Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; comparing and understanding differences in the size shape and form of lines figures and objects; picturing and evaluating solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked; following oral and/or written directions plans and blueprints; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
Work Environment Factors:
Location: industrial construction sites equipment yard and/or fabrication shop
Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather excessive humidity rain etc.; various noise levels caused by tools machinery equipment etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
