Job Description

JOIN OUR TEAM AS A CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR IIIII!

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

EBA Engineering Inc. (EBA) is in search of Construction Inspectors to join our Anne Arundel County pavement team!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

In your role as a Construction Inspector your primary duties will include:

  • Conducting thorough inspections of construction sites including roadways bridges tunnels and facilities to verify adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
  • Documenting and reporting any deviations defects or issues discovered during inspections.
  • Collaborating with senior inspectors and project managers to confirm that construction activities meet safety regulations and project requirements.
  • Assisting with the review and interpretation of construction plans special provisions and technical documents.
  • Maintaining clear and accurate inspection records and reports for compliance and reporting purposes.
  • Learning and applying industryspecific software and tools for inspection and documentation.
  • Participating in team meetings and safety briefings to foster a safe collaborative work environment.
  • Communicating effectively with contractors project stakeholders and other team members to address constructionrelated concerns and provide guidance.

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

To excel in this role candidates must possess the following qualifications and abilities:

  • A valid drivers license and clean driving record
  • 310 years of experience
  • A high school diploma or a high school equivalent certification
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Proficiency with eConstruction applications such as Fulcrum
  • Proficiency in math and English
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to walk over rough and uneven terrain; stand for up to 12 hours a day on occasion; and perform physical tasks such as bending stooping kneeling and twisting; using hands to grasp and reach; raising hands above the head; sitting; climbing; and balancing
  • Able to work in various weather conditions and terrains

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:

  • MD SHA Temporary Traffic Control Manager
  • Maryland Department of Environment Responsible Personnel
  • OSHA 10 Construction Safety Training
  • MidAtlantic Region Technician Certification Program (MARTCP) Soils & Aggregate Asphalt Field Testing Technician Grade I Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade I and Pavement Marking.
