As our Head of Workforce Model youll play a key leadership role in delivering the Workforce Optimisation programme a major transformation initiative across all Nuffield sites (hospitals and gyms) impacting around 16000 team members and targeting a 30 million EBITDA benefit.
Youll provide technical and operational leadership across both programme phases which include two core workstreams: 1 codifying activity and developing staffing models and principles for hospitals and gyms and 2 implementing a new erostering solution. Youll lead the technical delivery of both streams supported by a small focused team.
What youll do
In this vital role you will:
Develop and codify staffing principles build analytical models and ensure alignment between modelling outputs and operational needs.
Lead the technical delivery of the erostering solution covering discovery implementation and rollout activities.
Manage integration points between the two streams to ensure a cohesive joinedup approach.
Provide strong programme leadership with oversight of timelines risks dependencies and stakeholder engagement.
Collaborate closely with colleagues across operational (hospitals and gyms) central and digital teams to ensure successful delivery.
To succeed as our Head of Workforce Model youll bring:
Extensive experience leading largescale organisationwide change programmes in complex multisite environments ideally with a focus on workforce transformation operational efficiency or cost optimisation.
A strong track record in developing and applying productivity and labour models to inform strategic workforce planning and operational decisionmaking.
Proven experience working with integrated HCM platforms workforce management tools and escheduling or erostering systems ideally from discovery through to implementation and adoption.
Handson leadership of people cost or labour planning functions with accountability for translating complex workforce data into actionable insight and strategic guidance.
A demonstrated ability to deliver measurable operational efficiencies and cost savings through improved workforce planning deployment and resource utilisation.
Expertlevel proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced modelling structured logic scenario analysis) alongside strong working knowledge of analytical tools and data visualisation platforms (e.g. Power BI SQL or equivalent).
Excellent stakeholder management skills with confidence engaging at all levels from frontline teams to senior leadership across both clinical and nonclinical areas.
A deep understanding of workforce planning challenges in operational settings and a passion for driving real sustainable change through welldesigned datadriven solutions.
