About The Team

The Marketing and Communications Office is a group of committed professional services staff dedicated to inspiring people to choose Murdoch. Through brand marketing and communications strategies we enhance the reputation of the University drive future growth and lead employee communications. The team share the work of Murdoch Universitys academics researchers staff and students with the Murdoch community as well as domestic and international audiences.

Your New Role!

Reporting to the Senior Manager Brand Marketing this role is part of a dynamic team driving impactful marketing communications that enhance Murdoch Universitys reputation and recruitment efforts.

The Content Marketer Brand Communications plays a key role in driving the universitys content strategy including content planning collaborating across MCO to craft and produce engaging audiencefocused content that aligns with strategic objectives. With a strong grasp of brand marketing principles they create compelling content for major brand campaigns and reputationbuilding initiatives targeting key audiences across domestic markets.

This role involves the development of strategic creative ideas and production briefs producing highquality materials with strong copywriting skills and tailoring content for different audiences and channels. A deep understanding of content strategy principles and social media is essential ensuring content sparks conversations and drives engagement with relevant timely messaging.

Your key responsibilities will include

  • Develop content marketing strategies and planning in consultation and collaboration with MCO and university colleagues
  • Work closely with MCO communications team supporting strategic communications initiatives and leading content planning meetings
  • Ideate plan create and deploy original content for specific university audiences determining platform/format medium look and feel authorship frequency and duration of messaging
  • Produce content that supports the university reputation and brand campaigns adapting for web print and other mediums
  • Lead the universitys social media presence s overseeing the ongoing strategy and management of owned social channels and working with colleagues to produce and publish content
