Position Summary: Our RNs provide consultation and educational nursing services to the employees of Innovative Care Services so that they may better serve our clients in accordance with our policies and within the standards of Wisconsins Nurse Practice Act and state standards Duties and Responsibilities: - Serve and support all policy and procedures in terms of recognized medication administration techniques general medication storage as well as scheduled (controlled substances) in observance of medication distribution and tracking to maintain compliance with the governing regulations. This includes routine inperson audits.
- Lead Medication Administration certification classes for statelicensed CBRF and AFH programs.
- Be available to assess potential client admissions to our facilities as well as collaborate with acute care discharge planning with the interdisciplinary team as an advocate for the client to receive the right care at the right time in the right setting.
- Assist in comprehensive assessments for fall risks or clients who have fallen with written and/or verbal collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team toward proactive preventative measures in a timely manner.
- Train staff on nursedelegated tasks as well as other medical training including topics such as diabetic education.
- Be a part of the rotation for COVID response team which includes working with affected employees and programs including conducting baseline testing.
- Frequent travel throughout the Fox Cities and Green Bay areas to support programs. Occasional travel to other parts of the state typically on a quarterly basis (Mileage Reimbursement Provided)
- Provide occasional afterhours weekday remote (phone) support for emergency situations for service area
- Other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - Must have RN accreditation in the state of Wisconsin.
- Must have reliable transportation with appropriate insurance.
- Must be able to pass state background check.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies up to 20 pounds. T his position is based out of our Green Bay office with occasional overnight travel to other programs throughout the state.
