Job Description
City Tree Christian School is a wonderful community of teachers staff and families working together to educate our children in a loving Christian environment. We are a ministry of First Presbyterian Church committed to integrating educational excellence with the Biblebased teachings of Jesus Christ. We are an ethnically and socioeconomically diverse school located in downtown San Diego. About 200 students attend our schoolage infants through eighth grade. Our school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
Fulltime contracted middle school teacher responsible for teaching a variety of subjects to middle school students. We desire a dependable mature and responsible person who is able to integrate their love for Christ with their teaching. Applicants must be passionate about teaching with a strong desire to convey curriculum in an engaging and intentional manner. A part time position is also possible if applicant prefers part time hours.
Qualifications: Bachelors degree and teaching credential required. Experience with children essential.
Salary range $41000$65000 depending on education and experience. Fulltime position with benefits.

Position Summary:
- Plan prepare and conduct lessons in alignment with curriculum and established standards.
- Supervise students during both instructional and noninstructional times.
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration regarding instruction school events etc.
- Communicate and collaborate with parents with regard to student education and wellbeing.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Plan organize and deliver stimulating instructional programs as outlines in the schools academic standards and Expected SchoolWide Learner Outcomes
- Collaborate with colleagues on integrated academic units
- Participate in handson student learning opportunities and trips outside the classroom
- Support student leadership and service
- Motivate and communicate with students of diverse backgrounds
- Communicate effectively with parents students and administration
- Plan and participate in activities programs and learning experiences that complement and further the mission and vision of City Tree Christian School.
Compensation:
- Salaried fulltime exempt positionsalary will be commensurate with experience

Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in the US
- Multiple or Single Subject Teaching Credential
- Classroom teaching experience (preferred)
- Ability to integrate a love for Christ through daily instruction
