Position Purpose
The Director of Clinical Operations leads CFRs clinical infrastructure and practice management systems to ensure highquality experience for both clinicians and clients. This role oversees client intake systems supervises Office Directors and the Client Care Team maintains CFRs office facilities and manages clinician hiring and onboarding. With an eye toward strategic growth and operational excellence this position plays a vital role in CFRs clinical leadership.
Key Functions and Responsibilities
Clinical Operations Leadership & Infrastructure
- Supervise the Client Care Team including oversight of intake workflows and service conversion success.
- Directly supervise and support Office Directors (ODs) across all CFR locations; lead monthly OD team meetings.
- Directly supervise the Associate Director of Clinical Standards to ensure compliance with ethical legal and documentation requirements across CFR.
- Oversee practice operations across offices ensuring systems are consistent and supportive of quality care.
- Guide sliding scale fee structure implementation and annual clinician/client communication updates.
- Collaborate with the Chief Clinical Officer and CFO on office leasing decisions and facilities standards.
- Partner with the Associate Director of Clinical Standards to streamline intake and clinical systems.
Clinician Recruitment Staffing & Onboarding
- Strategically assess staffing needs and develop job descriptions for new clinical hires.
- Lead clinician recruitment and interviews prioritizing diversity and mission alignment.
- Coordinate onboarding of new clinicians ensuring connection to CFRs systems and values.
- Assign internal and external supervisors to prelicensed clinicians.
- Collaborate with HR and finance to manage supervision pay systems and onboarding documentation.
Program and Team Support
- Provide operational mentorship and act as the primary liaison for clinician feedback related to office and scheduling needs.
- Identify systems or technology enhancements that improve clinical efficiency.
- Participate in special projects that enhance clinical operations such as telehealth improvements or office consolidation.
Clinical Contribution
- Maintain a parttime caseload (minimum 5 clients/week or 22/month) to remain clinically engaged and is subject to the PARTTIME THERAPIST job description and compensation plan (SEE BELOW).
- Participate in peer review and clinical community events.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related mental health field.
- Licensure in relevant discipline (LMFT LCSW LPC etc. preferred
- 7 years of clinical experience; 3 years in clinical operations or supervision.

Working Conditions and Environment
This position is hybrid with a combination of remote work and inperson meetings at CFR office locations as needed.
Physical Requirements
The position requires repetitive motion such as standing walking sitting and bending. Light lifting up to 20 pounds may be required.
CLINICAL REQUIREMENT SUBJECT TO THE PARTTIME THERAPIST JOB DESCRIPTION:
Parttime therapists at Council for Relationships are W2 feeforservice employees. They are highly skilled clinicians who provide exceptional clinical care complete all documentation and administrative duties and engage in their own caseloadbuilding and marketing. They are expected to maintain a minimum caseload of 8 clients but are welcome to see more than that. The position is flexible and therapists are able to set their own schedules and rates. Therapists report to their Office Director and the Director of Clinical Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct highquality therapy in a manner that is ethical in conformity with established professional standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations and accountable and accessible to peer review.
- Follow Council clinical policies procedures and protocols.
- Utilize Councils practice management software system.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional practice including completing client case files in a timely manner and respecting client confidentiality.
- Attend group clinical supervision.
- Attend monthly all staff meetings as schedule allows.
- Attend monthly clinical specialty group meetings as schedule allows.
- Meet monthly clinical productivity requirements.
- Maintain an updated profile on the Council website.
- Submit writing for Council internal and external communications/marketing pieces.
COMPENSATION:
Therapists are paid a variable percentage 5065 of the fees they charge.
