Conduct appointments and setup of equipment for sleep diagnostic testing based on American Academy Sleep Medicine (AASM) guidelines.
Provides quality care by conducting a full respiratory assessment; diagnostics as applicable; assessing and evaluating test results; delivering of equipment and supplies as required; developing respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with the client physicians and care teams as per prescription and established company best practices.
Evaluate client therapies based on referrals and then determine respiratory therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians.
Initiate PAP therapy when prescribed providing patients with education instructions of use and cleaning and maintaining of their equipment.
Provides appropriate regular followup to clients to evaluate effects of therapeutic care recommending adjustments and modifications if required to increase compliance and comfort with therapy.
Actively promotes related products and provides solutions to client needs.
Responsible for maintaining most up to date continuing education as related to the position to ensure that clients are receiving most current therapies and devices.
Recognizes the importance of client safety in the Air Liquide Healthcare organization.
Responsible for following established company protocols for the cleaning and disinfection of all equipment.
Responsible for all required administration tasks.
Responsible for complying and maintaining knowledge of all funding processes and systems.
Ensures quality documentation through completion of all company documentation and forms (both digital and nonelectronic) as per policy.
Maintains client confidentiality and protects Air Liquide Healthcares operations by keeping information confidential.
Seeks to continuously improve the operation of the branch by evaluating processes and workflow and participating in other quality improvement activities.
Provides new staff and student instruction supervision and evaluation when necessary.
Participates in oxygen and other respiratory services including on call when required.
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Registered Nurse or RPN/LPN where applicable
Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
Strong cardiorespiratory assessment skills
Valid drivers license
Clear vulnerable persons check
Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
Ability to participate in a rotational afterhours on call schedule
Previous experience in healthcare field an asset
Fluent in written and spoken English (or French if required)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Google applications and Android
