About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a wellorganised and resilient individual to join the Children and Family Services Business Support Team as a Business and Finance Coordinator. As a member of Children and Family Services they will be required to ensure the development of high quality financial and administrative support and systems.

The successful candidate will support Service Managers in the preparation and management of the budgets resource and associated data. This will include checking and investigating detail consolidation monitoring and investigation of will provide pupil level data and social care information and analysis to inform and support financial forecasting business initiatives and strategy including theevaluation of financial will also undertake management of pupil related and social care data to ensure that the financial resource need of Services is identified. Producing reports and monthly monitoring statements to service managers/Heads of Service on a timely basis ensuring will ensure that financial records are accurately and regularly maintained to comply with financial regulations.

The successful candidate will work closely with managers to develop agreed business support service processes reflecting changing needs and the budget envelope and to monitor performance to ensure business support teams effectively and efficiently support the functions within their remit.

About You

To apply for this post you must:

  • Degree level qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent level of relevant experience in a business and or financial support services setting OR demonstrable experience identified within the bullet points below.
  • Proven management experience in a relevant setting including responsibility for staffing and financial resources and to be able to organise own work and lead and manage the work of others in different centres across the area.
  • Experience of developing a culture of continuous improvement being able to deliver information advice and guidance about learning and work practices.
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing data in order to improve services including redacting information and knowledge around the operation of financial and budgetary systems.
  • Ability to negotiate with a wide range of external agencies and partners.
  • To be able to work under pressure within short deadlines having a flexible and responsive attitude.
  • Excellent Customer Care practices.

You must also have an understanding of and commitment toequality diversity and inclusion.
