Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Security Specialist (Security Specialist III / IV) for our Albuquerque location. The selected individual will be a selfstarter assisting with the compliance of the Department of Defense Department of Energy Directives and the Intelligence Community policies. Assist with the security administration management and operations of the facilities associated to these programs. The Security Specialist is the primary interface with Aerospace Program Management and government agencies/customers regarding program security matters and requirements.

Work Model

This is a fulltime position based in Albuquerque NM which requires 100 onsite work.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Serves as an Alternate Facility Security Officer FSO as security specialist for ensuring successful security and safety programs are in place by implementing programs for protecting classified and unclassified sensitive information and collaborates with other security personnel across the enterprise.
  • Collaborates and conducts security related daytoday and adhoc security requests required by the program.
  • Provides personnel security support for existing and future programs
  • Administers executes and ensures adherence to company and government regulations policies and procedures regarding the protection of government programs
  • Conducts SCI security indoctrination briefings and debriefings
  • Processes DOE and DoD security clearances and accesses in accordance with government regulations provides guidance on the completion of security paperwork and tracks all clearance submissions

What You Need to be Successful

Minimum Requirements for Security Specialist III:

  • 34 or more years of direct experience with either DOE or DoD Security Functions with at least a High School Diploma.
  • Recent (within one year) TS with SCI Eligibility. U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must have the skills and knowledge to be able to process security clearances in accordance with government regulations and provides guidance on the completion of security paperwork and tracks all clearance submissions.
  • 23 years of experience in conducting security and access briefings for personnel.
  • Have a working knowledge in some government databases e.g. DISS scattered Castles Talon JADE or CPCI.
  • Have a working knowledge of government security regulations.
  • Be customer service orientated and able to multitask.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

In addition to the above the minimum requirements for the Security Specialist IV include:

  • 5 years of direct experience with Personnel Security Special Access Programs ICD705 and SCI.
  • 5 years of experience in conducting security and access briefings for personnel
