The City of Pasadena California is seeking an experienced Principal Plans Examiner who will be responsible for meticulously reviewing plans specifications and structural calculations for compliance with building codes and statelevel regulations for various types of commercial buildings. Responsibilities include overseeing a direct staff of four and providing comprehensive information on codes accessibility and safety standards to stakeholders such as architects contractors engineers and the public. The ideal candidate is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of California and will possess a combination of technical expertise leadership skills excellent communication and a strong understanding of local government procedures.
