Owned Brand Product Development & Sourcing (OBPD&S) Join a passionate and dynamic team of project managers and partners with our inventive engineers food scientists and sourcing managers in Owned Brand Food & Beverage Product Design & Sourcing (OB PD&S) at Target. Together you will concept develop source and deliver our owned brand foods and beverages; everything from dry goods snacks and beverages to candy fresh frozen and dairy. Here youll be close to the action of dreaming up and bringing to life the Targetowned brands that surprise and gratify guests wherever and whenever they love to shop.
As a Project Manager within OB PD&S you will manage all phases of Owned Brand product creation and commercialization to deliver Owned Brand growth and business goals. You will drive Owned Brand business results by facilitating the crossfunctional Product & Packaging creation process including Phase & StageGate management. You will be a partner with key stakeholders to align resources to project plan(s) to achieve desired outcomes. Core Accountabilities include:
Creates and owns the project plan StageGate Approach and End to End Timing and Action (T&A)
Responsible for establishing the optimal approach for the project product category and business partners to ensure efficiencies are in place and guest needs are met including R&D and outofcycle activities for all Owned Brand categories.
Partners with project team and stakeholders define project requirements constraints and assumptions to establish the project deliverables resources needed and timelines. Seeks necessary input from all functional areas.
Responsible for establishing a single source of truth T&A that clearly outlines owners actions and timing from project activation through results analysis evaluation.
Ensures project aligns with master project calendar and delivers on business objectives strategy and project goals.
Conducts post launch project evaluations and uses lessons learned to identify opportunities to enhance future StageGate and project plans. Shares findings with project team pipeline management & Sr. leaders when applicable.
Identifies opportunities for efficiencies in future projects by leveraging analytics reporting & hindsighting to drive future StateGate and Project Plan improvements.
Cross Functional Team Leadership
Leads and facilitates crossfunctional team meetings and activities to deliver key outcomes and prepare for Stage Gate milestones.
Partners with key stakeholders to align resources to project plan(s) to achieve desired outcomes.
Manages and facilitates resource scoping and project plan alignment in partnership with Pipeline Management Directors and project team.
Leader & facilitator of crossfunctional team meetings phase & stagegate meetings. Builds relationships with all cross functional team members accountable to project.
Leverages interpersonal skills to influence project teams & leaders to find quick resolution and move the project forward in a constructive manner.
Monitors compliance of activities from Project Kickoff through Results Analysis. Oversees and tracks T&A activities documents changes to drive accountability and applies learnings to future projects.
Identifies tracks & facilitates risk mitigation plans by anticipating potential roadblocks & risk before they occur understand implications of risk and escalate conclusions to the appropriate levels.
Use problem solving & critical thinking skills to facilitate effective decision making within the crossfunctional team.
Conducts post launch project evaluation for every project and use lessons learned to identify opportunities to enhance future StageGate and project plans. Share these findings with project team pipeline management & Sr. leaders when applicable.
Develops and Maintains Project Management tools and capabilities that accelerate effectiveness and impact of OB initiatives.
Create StateGate & Project Plan visibility through the use of a Project Command Center. Manages database to ensure accuracy and completion.
Creates and manages reporting to support working teams and leadership decision making.
Informs and maintains cross functional tools and templates utilized within product commercialization process.
Develops tools and capabilities as needed to support in and out of cycle OB development initiatives.
Informs continuous improvement and evolution of overall Stage Gate Operating model to drive efficiencies agility and enable speed to market.
About You:
Fouryear degree
4 years of Project Management experience or experience running structured wellcoordinated approaches to projects.
Project Management Certificate PMP Certification or Agile training.
Effective written and verbal communication skills & comfortable communicating with all levels including Sr. level leaders.
Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail.
High sense of urgency initiative & proactive planning.
Ability to work in collaborative team environment and manage relationships with team and key business partners.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent diligence.
Ability to think critically and solve problems.

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
