IMEG is growing and wed love to have you join our team!We are currently seeking a Survey Field Technician in our Gurnee IL Office.As a Survey Field Technician you will be responsible for assisting Crew Chiefs Senior Crew Chiefs or Land Surveyors in acquiring survey field data through the use of principles methods and techniques for assigned land surveying field projects. The Technician will provide survey assistance under leadership from a Crew Chief Senior Crew Chief or Office Coordinator.
Principal Responsibilities:
Performs daytoday operations to collect field data for all land surveys including but not limited to boundaries topographic surveys and construction stakeouts
Operates maintains and handles survey equipment data collection and other geodetic and reality capture equipment
Sets points on construction stakeout projects
Fundamental ability to perform quality checks using the survey equipment assigned.

Maintain professional and productive working relationships with all clients and coworkers
Operate a company vehicle
Observe safety and security procedures
Required Skills & Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret operating procedures safety documents and maintenance instructions
Ability to read surveys and engineering drawings
Knowledge of modern survey equipment devices and methods
Problemsolving techniques
Ability to work independently as well as proactively collaborate as part of a team
Possesses basic oral and written communication skills
Ability to professionally represent IMEG
Valid drivers license with ability to be insured by IMEG carrier; must consent to a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background check
Proficient in Microsoft and MS Office Suite including but not limited to Word Excel and Outlook
Ability to travel with occasional overnight stays
Education & Experience:
Associates degree or certificate in Land Surveying or Engineering preferred
Prior experience in the land surveying or consulting or construction industry preferred
Physical Requirements:
All weather yearround outdoor work environments with seasonal conditions including extreme heat index and windchill/low temperatures
Regularly required to sit walk stand talk see hear and lift objects up to 50 pounds
Occasionally required to drive kneel stoop crouch crawl reach with hands or arms and grasp or pull
Will have exposure to loud noises

Salary Range $50000.00 $55000.00. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience knowledge skills and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
