Job Description
Turner Industries Group is looking for NCCER or NCCCO certified Crane Operator for fulltime maintenance work in the Decatur AL area.
Crane operator will be responsible for operation of various power driven and hydraulic machinery which are used to move materials. Responsibilities include providing crane lifting and rigging support in addition to equipment preventative maintenance and inspection.
- NCCER or NCCCO certification required
- Must be able to pass drug test and background check
- Must have valid Drivers license
- Must have current physical

Job Requirements:
Moves hand and foot levers to control diesel electric gasoline or steampowered operating equipment; interprets hand signals to determine where materials are to be placed; reads and interprets load charts; may assemble or disassemble equipment or material on construction projects; may be required to manipulate equipment on unlevel working surfaces; may perform maintenance duties such as cleaning greasing and oiling machines/equipment
Qualification Standards:
High school or equivalent
Preferably one 1 to two 2 years of experience in specified skill
Preemployment qualification test if applicable
Postoffer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
Hazard Communication orientation/test
Turner Industries Group LLC Indoctrination
OSHA approved corrective eyewear (Z87

Job site Personal Protective Equipment requirements (hearing protection safety glasses long sleeve shirt gloves steel toe boots etc.

Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing into and out of equipment; reaching in all directions handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes hands fingers and feet to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level waist level and/or overhead; carrying objects tools equipment etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction
Mental Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: following set procedures and standards; applying basic mathematical skills; planning work and selecting proper tools; reading and interpreting load charts; judging distances and slopes accurately; following oral and/or written directions; reading; writing; ability to recognize and report safety hazards
Work Environment Factors:
Location: industrial maintenance and construction sites and/or pipe fabrication facility
Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground level; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominantly outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather excessive humidity rain etc.; various noise levels caused by tools machinery equipment etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
