Psychiatrist Job Overview:
- Working Collaboratively with Intra and Interdepartmental staff to administer treatment for behavioral health patients utilizing nationally recognized treatment standards and documenting utilizing an electronic health record system.
- Conducting exams and writing evaluations and reports.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing.
- Managing medication.
- Making referrals for specialized care or treatment.
- Performing duties in accordance with scope of practice ORDC policies procedures protocols and related American Correctional Association standards.
- Participating in continuous quality improvement meetings and activities including peer reviews.
- Engaging in collaborative agreements as needed.
Psychiatrist Job Qualifications:
- Doctoral Degree
- Ohio Medical License
- DEA Certification
- CPR Healthcare Professional
- Boardeligible or boardcertified
