ASSYST is seeking a Website Product Manager who will lead the strategic direction design and continuous improvement of the Clients publicfacing website in Rockville Maryland.
As the Client embarks on a comprehensive website redesign in partnership with a thirdparty vendor this role will act as the internal Product Ownerensuring the new digital experience reflects the Clients values of accessibility transparency and residentfocused service. This position will blend product strategy usercentered design crossfunctional collaboration and vendor coordination to deliver a modern accessible and engaging online platform for the community.

Responsibilities:
Define and manage the website product vision roadmap and success metrics.
Act as the internal product owner during a major website redesign project.
Liaise between the clients departments and thirdparty vendors to ensure alignment on goals and priorities.
Manage the product backlog and validate milestones through feedback cycles.
Lead user research usability testing and community engagement to inform design decisions.
Ensure compliance with WCAG and Section 508 accessibility standards.
Collaborate with project managers to track deliverables timelines and risks.
Develop content governance models and support training for departmental content contributors.
Plan for ongoing improvements postlaunch through analytics updates and enhancements.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Digital Media Public Administration UX Design Communications Information Systems or related field.
Proven experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner in a digital/web environment.
Strong understanding of web usability UX/UI design responsive design and accessibility standards (WCAG and Section 508.
Experience working with CMS platforms like Drupal WordPress or Sitecore.
Skilled in stakeholder facilitation project coordination and vendor management.
Experience leading website redesigns or digital product launches.
Familiarity with agile workflows and translating user needs into development tasks.
Knowledge of web analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Hotjar.
Experience with content governance change management and team training.
