Job Description
Position Type:Hybrid
Schedule: 3 days onsite
Contract Length: 1 year
Position Overview:
Seekingcandidates that hold either an active PMP certification or be VITA Qualified at the time of hire. The position involves coordinating updates managing technology enhancements and supporting application development alongside DBAs and developers.
Duties:
Manage work breakdown structures and tasks in Azure DevOps and/or Microsoft Project ensuring consistent updates to assignments statuses and time estimates.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules budget forecasts and status reports.
Oversee projects involving inhouse and vendor technical teams on software development infrastructure upgrades migrations and implementations to support internal users and publicfacing services.
Create and manage project documentation including project plans risk management plans and communication strategies.
Coordinate activities among internal teams external stakeholders and vendor partners to ensure smooth project .
Identify and address changes in project scope timeline or budget communicating risks and solutions to stakeholders in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate and uptodate project status information and deliver regular status reports to management and stakeholders.
Ensure all project activities adhere to applicable policies standards and security requirements including necessary documentation.
Required Skills:
8 years of experience as a Project Manager.
8 years of seniorlevel experience with Agile methodologies.
8 years of seniorlevel experience with Waterfall methodologies.
6 years of experience applying the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
5 years of senior project management experience with software development projects.
5 years of experience managing project scope budget and risk.
Active PMP certification or VITA PMD Project Manager Qualification (Level 14 is required.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using Azure DevOps.
Experience using JIRA .
Prior successful experience working within state government .
