Job Description

The La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club is currently seeking a highly skilled Beach Hut Attendant to join our team at our beautiful oceanfront property!

Rate: $17.25

SUMMARY

Provides service to guests on the beach in the pool area or in the Snackery. Promotes and follows LJBTC Inc.s Signature Service standards and requirements ensuring a lasting impression of exemplary service resulting in supremely satisfied and loyal members and guests.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Set up beach snackery.

  • Take and deliver food orders.

  • Prepare food in Snackery kitchen; deliver food from Snackery clean and close Snackery prep and sales areas.
  • Ring or record sales on beach or in Snackery and balance out at the end of shift.

  • Responsible for daily requisitioning of needed supplies.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

OUTCOME

The Beach Hut Attendant is responsible for the overall guest satisfaction in their work area. They are responsible for servicing guests in their section and also for keeping their work area clean. They are also responsible for the daily clearing of dishes in their work area.


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Less than high school education; or up to one month of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before customers managers or employees of organization.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts interest commissions proportions percentages area circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.





REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


CERTIFICATES LICENSES REGISTRATIONS

Must obtain and maintain a current food handlers card.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee must constantly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles toxic or caustic chemicals extreme cold and extreme heat.


The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


Employees are required to perform all tasks as safely as possible and to adhere to the applicable safety procedures.

SCHEDULING

This company operates seven days a week 24 hours a day. Shifts will generally be rotated as much as possible to be fair to everyone. At times it may be necessary to move you from your accustomed shift if business or task assignments demand. In addition it should be understood that business needs determine the number of hours that you work.
