Available Positions:
- Fulltime 80 hours per pay period; NOC Shift Night shift differential available
- Fulltime 80 hours per pay period; Day/NOC Mixed Shift. Night shift differential available
- Parttime 1 72 hours per pay period; PM Shift PM shift differential available
- Parttime 1 64 hours per pay period; Day Shift
Weekend rotation: Every other weekend Weekend shift differential available
Holiday rotation: Rotating holidays
Position Summary:
Plans directs and evaluates total nursing care and functions in accordance with established standards of practice.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provides the best possible nursing care by planning organizing and directing the nursing functions of patients on the unit.
- Prepares administers and records medications in accordance with policy regarding administration of meds.
- Initiates and implements patient care plan.
- Makes nursing assignments appropriate to the skill level of employees.
- Maintains acceptable standards of patient care.
- Identifies problems and guides personnel to their solution.
- Creates a working climate that provides growth and job satisfaction of personnel.
- Accurately and promptly implements physicians orders.
- Administers medications and intravenous solutions skillfully and correctly.
- Maintains the standards of accurate and complete recording and reporting.
- Arranges to have needed supplies and equipment on hand.
- Participates in planning changes and improvements.
- Participates in MBMC safety programs.
- Supports and enforces infectioncontrol & antibiotic stewardship policies and procedures.
- Is resourceful and calm in emergencies.
- Keeps DON or Charge Nurse informed of patients needs and problems on the nursing unit.
- Participates in orientation and inservice training for personnel.
- Evaluates the performance of personnel with recommendations for appropriate action.
- Assists in reviewing and revising policies and procedures.
- Maintains a professional approach with confidentiality.
- Displays concern and initiative.
- Observes and supports MBMC policy.
- Is prompt and efficient with minimal absences.
- Cooperates and maintains good rapport with nursing staff medical staff other departments and visitors.
- Promptly answers residents call lights & requests.
- All other duties as requested within scope of practice.
Position Requirements:
Minimum Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program in nursing
- Current RN license to practice in the State of Wisconsin
