The Europe team operates as a startup within Plaid dedicated to creating Europespecific products that will expand Plaids global footprint. Our mission is to develop groundbreaking Europespecific payment and credit products that will revolutionize the financial landscape. We work handinhand with product GTM and customers to ensure our solutions drive maximum impact and meet the unique needs of the European market.
As a member of the Europe team youll have a significant opportunity to shape Plaids direction and strategy in Europe. Your contributions will be highly visible and crucial to our success. Youll thrive in a fastpaced agile startup environment supported by the resources and stability of a wellestablished company.
As a Software Engineer on the Europe team you will collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams to develop and improve Europespecific payments and credit products. You will build frameworks and tooling to ensure Plaid has the most resilient and highestperforming integrations with European banks. You will work with engineering and product teams across Plaid to localize new and existing global Plaid products for the European market.
Responsibilities
- You will partner with other teams across Plaid working closely with other engineering teams as well as Product Design Data Science and more to iterate on and productionize new products and improve existing products.
- You will deeply understand client needs and architect solutions tailored to their use cases.
- You will own projects step up as a trusted member of the teams oncall rotation and follow best practices to increase overall system reliability.
Qualifications
- 25 years of experience as a product engineer working fullstack (backendleaning).
- Excellent coding and testing skills.
- Experience working with large scale backend systems.
- Nice to have Experience working on payments products or in the payments space.
- Nice to have Experience working with Open Banking APIs.
