Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physician to join our team in Meridian MS. Ochsner Health is an integrated healthcare system with more than 36000 employees and over 4600 employed and affiliated physicians in over 90 medical specialties and subspecialties. It operates 47 hospitals and more than 370 health and urgent care centers across Louisiana Mississippi Alabama and the Gulf South.
Position Highlights:
28000 annual visits with broad service area of 300000 patients.
24 Bed Emergency Department
215Bed Hospital with closed 23 bed ICU and multi specialists within the system
20 hours of MD coverage & 28 Hours NP Coverage.
Level 3 Trauma Center
12 Twelve hour shifts constitute full time
Flexible Scheduling
Unique Patient Flow Center through Ochsner to provide 24 hour support and help with patient transfers
Bedside Ultrasound machine available and tech inhouse 24/7
Hospitalist run codes not the ED
Emergency Medicine Director on staff to provide mentorship and support.
EPIC utilized throughout the health system
Teaching opportunities with residents rotating through Ochsner Rush at EC Healthnet.
